Today it was expected by 65 lakh of pensioners that the Prime Minister
of India is going to give relief to them. However nothing happened anything about
pension Hike.
EPS 95 Pensioners are fighting since long time for pension hike and
other medical facilities like others pensioners are getting .
This pension scheme was introduce in 1995 and at time it was most valuable and called as new era of pension scheme. In this scheme it was mentioned that every 3rd year it is going to review but nothing happened after it introduce.
Pensioners are getting pension in between 300 to 3000, which is not enough for there daily needs. They are doing agitation for there demand and reaching out to different level of government associates for there demand and expecting something in favor.
So many committee and organizations are trying to help them. However till
now there is no any progress. There is already case going in supreme court of
India for pension Hike and expected to get some fruitful decision before and Lockdown.
Due to Lockdown and Covid 19 no cases were hearing in Supreme Court of India.
It is big issue when it comes social security of India ,A minimum
pension should be there for every kind of pensioners whether it is Old Pension Scheme,
EPS 95 Pension Scheme or any other . The social security should be up-to that
level a pensioners can fulfill there daily needs easily .
Impact of Covid 19 : As many of pensioners are no more and
many are already crossed 80+ age and there hopeless and helpless now due to Covid lock down in India .There were so many agitation and cases in supreme
court of India was going but now all are postponed .
Pensioners Meet Prime Minister of India : It was expected by many pensioners
and they also wrote on social media platform that the Prime Minister must
announce pension Hike on Independence day (15th August 2020) but nothing
happened . Pensioners already meet with Prime Minister and asked for pension
Hike and Medical Immediate relief . Also they get reply from we will definitely
look into it and provide solution for it . So far no update on this .
It is most Important and needed country like India where population are Huge a strong social security would be there .
Pensioners meets with many parliament members for there demand including minister of labor & Employment Shri Santosh Gangwar. They have shared memorandum
and demand to raise their voice in Parliament .Hema Malini meets Prime Minister
and shared EPS95 Pensioners issue with him also she shared reminder to PMO for
Immediate intervention in case .
After so many days and fight is still going on by pensioners and many other committees and expecting favor decision soon.
The light of Hope is still on and pensioners are meeting with many Parliamentary and Organisation heads.
This this article we tried to highlight the issue of social security of India.
