Respected sir ,
I heartily welcome your goodself , sir , having been appointed as chairman of the parliamentary panel committee to have your scrutiny of corpus fund of EPFO /recommendations on series of issues of employees provident fund organisation inclusive of it's pension scheme , and RAISING OF MINIMUM PENSION among others .
In so far as the issue of minimum pension is concerned that requires to be hiked , we have to submit that the pensioners of EPS (employees pension scheme) 1995 have met with grave injustice for having been provided an UNLIVEABLE meagre basic pension with no dearance allowance in the range of less than Rs 1000 to about Rs 3000 kept unrevised for the past 20 years who have no scope of higher pension with it's defined pensionable service of the post period of the EPS1995 . Some lakhs of EPS pensioners are getting pension of even very less than Rs 1000 . All of these pensioners are surviving with DEPENDANCY on others in pathatic untold conditions of life with horrible situation after their service put in various sectors of productions and services that have catered to the needs of the citizens of the country besides the growth of nation in infratucture and development what India looks to day .
They are being looked at by sympathy not by empathy . The hon'ble central govt has been apprised of the deficiencies of the EPS 95 that have resulted in the present sad consquences in the lives of the pensioners being subjected to lot of sufferings . How their situation stands in such system could be imagined by anyone .
Since the range of present pension provision that does not meet the average cost of present minimum life , is quite insufficient to live a normal life with human dignity , the parliamentary panel committee may kindly have to recommend for hike of minimum pension from Rs 1000 to a sufficiency level in order of the amount that meets the average cost of minimum life across the country that is not less than Rs Rs 10000 among other issues .
The pensioners have come to the streets with peaceful protests and submission of countless memorandums , seeking justice from the hon'ble govt in order that they live a stress free , socio - economicly secured peaceful life in their last phase of LIVILIHOOD with their constitutional rights .
Sir , looking at their tragic circumstances of these pensioners , more importantly with much priority , the issue of enhancement of minimum pension with D A is to be settled with the strong recommendation of the committee panel .
Therefore we humbly , sincerely request your kindself for recommendation on hike of minimum pension with D A in consistent of present cost of average minimum life forthwith in order to solve the decades old crises of basic human life being faced by the pensioners .
