No Hope in Near Future for an Increase in EPF Minimum Pension - EPS Pensioners
There is no hope in near future for an increase in epf minimum pension from central Govt.
It is a fact many state Govt has been giving to their people old age pension of Rs. 1500 every month when crossed 60 years without any contribution from them.
It is a pity that epf pensioners many of them contributed from 1972 on words to epf fund and retired after 30 years of service drawing less than Rs. 1000 as epf pension!
The central Govt time and again reducing the interest on FD on Banks also harassing the epf pensioners as they have getting income from FD interest for their lively hood. Most affected epf pensioners now suffers on the soaring price increases on most essential items.
These poor epf pensioners due to age now spends good share of their income on medical expenses.
The central Govt should open their eyes towords epf pensioners for an increase in epf pension, extending medical treatment in ESI and also giving at least one percent extra interest on FD so that the poor epf pensioners will live the rest of their life happily.
We pray God and only hope we can at this stage.
