All Supreme Court judges will conduct court proceedings from their respective residences on Monday and will not be coming to the Supreme Court building to hold court from behind the the glass panelled courtrooms.

This would be the first time in nine months that all judges of the top court would be holding court from the residences.
Information Technology and technical staff members had their respective rosters updated and were asked to report to individual judges residences to conduct video hearings, multiple sources confirmed to Bar & Bench.
As per another circular, physical mentioning of matters have been suspended in the top court for now though mentioning via virtual medium will continue.
Supreme Court sources told Bar & Bench that physical mentioning was suspended since a non-judicial Registrar was allowed the task to head it, but lawyers complained the officer was not able to decide which cases cases to list after mentioning.
"There were complaints from the lawyers, thus this physical mentioning was suspended," said the source.
In the last one week, six staff members from the Supreme Court filing section were tested COVID positive.

नौ महीने में पहली बार ऐसा होगा कि शीर्ष अदालत के सभी न्यायाधीश आवासों से अदालत पकड़ रहे होंगे ।
सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी और तकनीकी कर्मचारियों के सदस्यों ने अपने संबंधित रोस्टर को अपडेट किया और वीडियो सुनवाई के लिए व्यक्तिगत न्यायाधीशों के निवासों को रिपोर्ट करने के लिए कहा गया था, कई स्रोतों ने बार एंड बेंच को पुष्टि की ।
नवीनतम सुप्रीम कोर्ट सर्कुलर के अनुसार, अदालत की कार्यवाही जो सोमवार को सुबह 10.30 बजे से शुरू होने वाली थी, वे सुबह 11.30 बजे से शुरू होंगी जबकि बेंच जिनकी कार्यवाही 11 बजे से शुरू होगी, वे दोपहर 12 बजे से सुनवाई करेंगे ।
एक और गोलाकार के अनुसार, शीर्ष अदालत में मामलों का शारीरिक उल्लेख निलंबित कर दिया गया है हालांकि आभासी माध्यम से उल्लेख जारी रहेगा ।
सुप्रीम कोर्ट के सूत्रों ने बार एंड बेंच को बताया कि एक गैर-न्यायिक रजिस्ट्रार को इस कार्य को आगे बढ़ाने की अनुमति देने के बाद शारीरिक उल्लेख निलंबित कर दिया गया था, लेकिन वकीलों ने शिकायत की कि अधिकारी यह तय नहीं कर पा रहा था कि किन मामलों को उल्लेख करने के बाद सूचीबद्ध किया जाए ।
सूत्र ने कहा, ′′ वकीलों से शिकायतें थी, इसलिए इस शारीरिक उल्लेख को निलंबित कर दिया गया था ।
पिछले एक सप्ताह में, सुप्रीम कोर्ट फाइलिंग सेक्शन के छह स्टाफ सदस्यों का COVID पॉजिटिव परीक्षण किया गया था ।
